About the Milton-Freewater Downtown Alliance

Founded in 2012, the MFDA focuses mainly on the Main Street Districts, and has planned and designed events and community spaces such as Cinco de Mayo, the Downtown Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, the Christmas Magic Crawl, and Freewater Square.

The MFDA strives to revitalize the Main Street Districts throughout Milton-Freewater. We are using the “Main Street Approach” created by the Oregon Main Street Program -a branch of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This approach serves as an all-encompassing way to allow Milton-Freewater to reach its full potential. Whether it is beautifying streets and building facades, highlighting the historical aspects of a building, or providing support for new and existing business owners, the MFDA exists to serve the community.

Our mission to create an inviting, family-friendly and inclusive climate in Main Street Districts for new and existing businesses through improvements to infrastructure and increased promotion.
