Gents and Jewels: bring your families to a glamorous, formal evening celebrating Milton-Freewater's finest Citizens, Businesses, and Projects!

The Open Bar, Social Hour, Opening Remarks, and voting for your favorite table will begin at 5:30, Supper will be served at 6:30, the Award Ceremony will begin at 7:30, and fellowship to follow.

Dress Code: Semi-Formal Attire 

Award Categories:

  1. Man of the Year: Recognizes an individual who has made a special effort to be actively involved in the Milton-Freewater community through any local club or organization. He must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years and be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Woman of the Year: Recognizes an individual who has made a special effort to be actively involved in the Milton-Freewater community through any local club or organization. She must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years and be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Youth of the Year: Recognizes a school-age student currently involved in the Milton-Freewater community. The nominee should be an outstanding young person still attending school.
  4. Educator of the Year: Recognizes a teacher that excels in the classroom in the Milton-Freewater school system. This teacher should be an outstanding model for students of all ages and must have significant impact on student performance and achievement. This teacher should have taught in the MF school system for at least three years.
  5. The Golden Pioneer Honor: Recognizes a retired individual who, over their lifetime, has made special efforts to be involved and help make the Milton-Freewater community a place where we can be proud to live. He/she must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years.
  6. Agriculturist of the Year: Recognizes a person, business or group interested in the advancement of the Milton-Freewater agricultural community. The nominee must be involved in agriculture industry in one form or another and must have been active in the community for at least three (3) years.
  7. Viticulturist of the Year: Recognizes a person, business or group interested in the advancement of the Milton-Freewater viticultural community. The nominee must be involved in the viticultural industry in one form or another and must have been active in the community for at least three (3) years.
  8. Brick & Mortar Rehabilitation Project of the Year: Recognizes building owners or programs that positively impact preservation efforts. This may include façade improvements, restoration projects, adaptive reuse, and more.
  9. Outstanding Special Project: Fundraising activities, customer service programs, and events that affect the community revitalization effort. Please share the goals of the project and how they were met or exceeded. 
  10. MFCDA Heroes of the Year:  Milton-Freewater Business Hero Award, Philanthropist of the Year, Volunteer of the Year (Internally Selected)
