2024 Battle of the Bands

Join your Milton-Freewater Chamber Downtown Alliance for a fun-filled evening of emerging local musicians!
Eligibility: Bands must consist of at least one (1) person and must also not have any member who is a professional musician signed to a major record label.
Genres: Bands from any genre of music are welcome to participate.
Performance Time: Each band will be allocated a specific, 20-minute time slot for their performance. This includes setup, tear down, and sound check- come prepared for this transition! We are arranging the schedule as submissions come in over a 3-hour block. If another band does not show up, we will move your band up to fill time slots. For these reasons, we ask that all Bands check in at the MFCDA booth at 5:30.
Equipment: Bands must bring their own instruments and any necessary equipment for their performance. MFCDA will provide basic sound equipment, including speakers and a sound system.
Judging: Audience members will be invited to vote for their favorite bands, through paper ballots.
Prize: Winners of the 2024 Battle of the Bands will be awarded a $500 performance contract for the August 23 Friday Nights on Main.
Registration and Fees: Bands must register and pay the $50 fee to participate in the competition online. Due to time constraints, we are limiting participation to the first nine (9) bands who sign up.
Promotion: Bands are encouraged to promote their participation in the competition through their social media & marketing channels, and inviting their fans to the performance.
